Information about time changes
Daylight Saving Time (DST), also called summer time, is a system where clocks in many cities are set forward by one hour during warmer months to make better use of daylight. This means the time shifts, so evenings stay brighter for longer. As of now, DST is in effect across most of Europe, North America, and select regions in Africa and Asia during the Northern Hemisphere summer. In the Southern Hemisphere, some cities in South America and Oceania also follow DST. While DST was once used more widely, some areas have discontinued the practice over time.
